If Anything Happens to Ekweremadu,Nigeria Will Not Remain the Same Again – Igbo Group

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu,

Following the failed attempt on the life of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Igbo political group, Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has stated that there will be problems in the country if Ekweremadu was to be harmed.
In a statement signed by the Council’s National President, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary, Okwu Nnabuike in Umuahia on Wednesday, November 18, the group raised the alarm that “the highest Igbo political office holder is being hunted for elimination”.
The group warned that killing of the deputy senate president portends danger for the country. It said,”should anything happen to Ekweremadu, Nigeria will not remain the same again”.
According to them, any harm on Ekweremadu amounted to a declaration of war against Ndigbo which must be resisted at all cost.
