Zidane to sack 7 players at Madrid

In a bid to further boost the present Real madrid team, Two time Champions League winning manager, Zinedine Zidane, is planning a massive shake up, which might see up to seven first-team players leave the club.

Zidane wants to add to his all-conquering squad that won the La Liga and Champions League titles and will let some big names go in order to do so.

According to our source, as many as seven players could depart the Santiago Bernabeu.

Portugal defender Pepe will be the first out of the door after confirming his departure. He had made over 300 appearances for the club in 10 years at the Bernabeu.

His compatriot Fabio Coentrao is also set to leave Real this summer, after playing second fiddle to Marcelo. He is expected to join Sporting on loan.

The biggest name that could depart is James Rodriguez, who was dropped from their Champions League final squad. The Colombian midfielder have been linked with Manchester United and Inter Milan.

United are also keen on Alvaro Morata, who has grown frustrated at his limited playing time under Zidane. A deal to take Morata to Old Trafford, may see David De Gea move in the opposite direction, affecting the goalkeeping situation at Real.

Keylor Navas would find his position under threat if De Gea arrives.
