Celine Dion, started rehearsals on her Las Vegas show on Tuesday |
Celine Dion is back to work one month after her husband Rene Angelil died from cancer.
According to Closer Weekly, the 47-year-old songbird already began rehearsals on her Las Vegas show on Tuesday. The My Heart Will Go On hit maker resumes her Caesars Palace performance on February 23.
A source told the publication the Canadian superstar is 'strong' and handling life without Rene as well as she can.
'There are times when Celine says she just wants to curl up in a ball,' a source told the publication. 'But that wasn't what Rene would have wanted.'
That is what motivates the Grammy winner.
'Celine is tougher than people give her credit for,' added the friend. 'She's moving ahead.'

The star is rehearsing because she just needs a warm up before getting back on stage.
'A few days should be all it takes to get the show back in tip-top shape,' said a source.
She is also working with her new manager, Aldo Giampaolo, who has already been an adviser for 25 years. He moved from Quebec to Vegas to work closely with Dion now that Rene, who was Celine's manager, has passed.
The source added that Rene also taught everything he knew to Celine before he died so that she could manage herself in a way.
'In the last years Rene really allowed Celine to make decisions,' the source said.
Dion has plenty of support these days, not just from her three children with Rene, but also from his kids from other marriages, most notably Anne-Marie, his 38-year-old daughter.
'She's like a sister to Celine,' it was claimed.
And the beauty keeps the memory of her late husband alive by talking about him constantly to her children. But she does not want to be depressed forever.
'She says she can't live in mourning with the curtains drawn,' said a source. 'You have to let a little light in. Even a little laughter.'
Rene was laid to rest in Montreal on January 22 with a large crowd looking on. Celine's brother Daniel, 59, also died in January.
