Arsene Wenger has claimed his 15th Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award after leading Arsenal to four consecutive victories in a perfect October.

Wenger's side beat Manchester United, Watford, Everton and Swansea City last month to climb up to second in the table behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.

Arsenal netted 11 goals in those four games, conceding just once, with traditionally tough opponents United and Swansea dispatched in comfortable 3-0 victories

Watford also had no response when they were beaten by a three-goal margin at Vicarage Road while Everton fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger, 66, couldn't be blamed for getting bored of posing with the Manager of the Month award by now, but he was more than happy to accept the special delivery at Arsenal's London Colney base.

He beat off competition from Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri and City's Manuel Pellegrini.

Wenger is the Premier League's second-most successful manager of all time when it comes to the monthly awards, with Sir Alex Ferguson's record of 27 prizes the only one to better the Frenchman (15).

David Moyes, who was sacked by La Liga side Real Sociedad on Monday, sits third on 10 while Harry Redknapp and Martin O'Neill have eight each. Wenger's great rival Jose Mourinho has three.

The Arsenal manager was criticised for his side's Capital One Cup exit against Sheffield Wednesday last month but the focus on league matters appeared to pay off with a 100 per cent record.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday to end the winning run in the league, but they remain firmly in the title thinking after City could only draw at Aston Villa.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy claimed the Player of the Month prize after scoring five times in four games in October.

Meanwhile, Wenger has been handed a boost from the treatment room with the news that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin are in line to return for the Gunners' next game against West Bromwich Albion.

Arsenal are in the midst of injury crisis with 10 senior players unavailable for Sunday's draw against Tottenham.

But three of his stricken stars are ready to return after the international break.
